- Sharing lessons on countering extremist ideologies and promoting tolerance pluralism for Home Office new “Islamic Voices” exchange programme, announced by the Prime Minister, to Indonesia and Malaysia (2016).
- Presented at the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) hearing focusing on anti-Jewish and anti-Muslim bias in Europe (2016).
- Nominated for ‘Contribution to Community’ Award at the ‘Asian Achievers Awards’, 2017.
- On Muslim Women’s Day 2017, I was listed in Nylon magazine as an activist that is ‘making a difference’
- In January 2017, I spoke to over one hundred thousand people at the Women’s March on London
- For my work with Women’s March on London, she was listed as one of Stylist’s Women of the Year 2017.
- In 2018 I was awarded an MBE, in the Queen’s Birthday Honours, for work with Muslim women as founder of the She Speaks We Hear.
- My portrait is currently part of the National Trust’s We Are Bess exhibition at Hardwick Hall, which showcases modern and historic female leaders.
